We produce aerial sequences for a wide range of projects.
Fierce Kitty’s Mya Padget was one of the drone gimbal operators for Aerosight UAV on the BBC/Amazon co-production of Good Omens – a challenging shoot in freezing conditions with David Tennant and Michael Sheen on set, along with hundreds of extras and crew.
Fierce Kitty was commissioned to produce the opening and closing shots of Nisa's TV commercial.
With a brief to reveal rows of houses in the early morning as a local community wakes up, we secured permission from Conwy County Borough Council in North Wales to fly from a 430ft elevation at the summit of Bryn Euryn on a cold and crisp February morning.
WORCESTER COLLEGE, OXFORD
THE SAVILL GARDEN, WINDSOR
WATERPERRY GARDENS, OXFORDSHIRE
We were honoured to join the crew of Germany’s version of Gardeners’ World for national broadcaster MDR, while they were in the UK filming a programme on British gardens.
With special air-space clearance to film near Windsor Castle, we were able to capture some atmospheric sequences in the misty May weather.
FOR EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS
Fierce Kitty’s aerial unit is one of the few licensed drone operators with approval to fly at the University of Oxford’s departments and colleges.
We have a long-standing relationship with Oxfordshire County Council’s Film Office, Thames Valley Police and the university’s Estates Services, enabling us to manage safe areas of operation and streamline the permissions process.
Below is a selection of some of the many locations we’ve flown at for the university.
THE RADCLIFFE CAMERA / BODLEIAN LIBRARY
CHEMISTRY RESEARCH LABORATORY
BLAVATNIK SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT
EXETER COLLEGE / COHEN QUAD
HISTORY OF SCIENCE MUSEUM
DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY
The first in our series of seasonal films for University Parks was filmed entirely from the air, except for the bumblebee sequence, which was captured using a handheld gimbal rig with some creative movement and then re-timed in post.
We’re in our 8th year as a licensed drone operator, and one of the few to maintain an extended £10m Public Liability Insurance policy (a requirement to fly at University of Oxford locations).
